ETHICAL HOMES BUYER AGENT REFERRAL QUESTIONNAIRE Different agents excel in providing different types of service, and every agent's style is different as well; the more we know about which services you value and what style of agent you would most want to work with, the better we'll be able to match you up with a great agent who meets your particular needs. Below, we've listed the most commonly requested characteristics of agents and services and areas of expertise that they might provide. Please indicate which ones are extremely important to you (with a "1" next to the criterion); if you want, you can also indicate which ones are somewhat important to you (with a "2") and/or which ones are anathema to you (with an "X"). If you don't care about a particular criterion, just leave that line blank (or delete the line or cross through it if it will make it easier for you to review your final list). Among the specific requests we've received are for agents who: * Will explain the buying process to you and help you prepare for your search * Will help you clarify what you really need and/or want in a property * Will help you identify neighborhoods of interest * Will help you review recent and active listings to find ones of potential interest * Will preview properties for you before showing them to you * Will send you online photo albums/virtual tours of properties before showing them to you * Will help you evaluate properties while you are viewing them * Will explain the agency and purchase contracts to you before you sign them * Will advise you during negotiations * Has specific area knowledge about and expertise in the neighborhoods that you are interested in. Ethical Homes fully supports the Fair Housing Act, which makes it illegal for you to use those sorts of demographic criteria when evaluating properties or neighborhoods, or for an agent or seller to use those sorts of demographic criteria in deciding whether to work with YOU; even though it IS legal to for YOU to use those criteria to choose an agent to work with, at Ethical Homes we firmly believe that those sorts of criteria have no effect on how well an agent can do their job on your behalf, and will NOT help you find an agent using demographic criteria.
