Joanne, a first-time buyer who was actually working with another agent in New York, discusses how Ethical Homes still helped guide her past the pitfalls of buying:

As a first time home buyer, I was daunted by the process of trying to purchase a new home. I was ready to stop renting, but I knew nothing absolutely nothing about realty. In fact, I didn’t even know where to start. Fortunately, when I first began this journey, I had the privilege of speaking with Sweth. I had a million questions, and not only did he know how to get me started, but he was there to guide me, step by step, through the entire process.

Sweth is a natural teacher. He has a talent for explaining complicated procedures in terms that are easy to understand. I always appreciate the details of his answers, and the thoroughness with which he understands the realty business. He is knowledgeable, available and caring. He acts as a coach during all stages of buying and selling a home—from defining goals and searching for the right fit to knowing what is affordable and understanding mortgage options. These different choices can be extremely intricate, and he helped me to comprehend, in depth, each and every choice.

Although I decided to buy in New York State, I still felt free to call Sweth anytime for help. My lawyer, agent, and mortgage broker often explained things quickly, and I felt like I needed more in-depth understanding before making any decisions. When talking with them left me with questions, Sweth was definitely the person to call. He spent hours guiding me though each stage even though he would receive no commission. With Sweth’s guidance, I felt sure of my decisions and knew that my choices were exactly right for me. Without him, I would not be a homeowner today.
